My story: how I got into Homeopathy
A Natural Approach to Better Health
From an early age, I was captivated by herbs and the way an infusion of mint and lemon could settle an upset tummy, or the juice from the leaves of the aloe plant could soothe an irritated skin. Throughout my life, I have turned to natural remedies to take care of every-day mishaps whenever possible, always thinking that nature is the most incredible source of healing.

It wasn't until my younger daughter, aged 4, had been hospitalised with pneumonia twice, in the space of two months, that I discovered Homeopathy. The doctors at the hospital had told us that she had a viral induced wheeze: her immune system was overreacting to the viruses she was exposed to, causing the lining to her airways to swell and bring on breathing difficulties and rapidly dropping oxygen levels. Every time she caught a cold or a cough, it was only a matter of hours before she needed to be put on oxygen, antibiotics and steroids. It was traumatic for the whole family. She was prescribed inhalers, which, we were told, would probably be a constant feature in her life. Needless to say, I was shocked and upset for her: this was not how I wanted her to live her life. At the time, I had the fortune to find an extraordinary homeopath who not only resolved her immediate issues, but was also able to address her heavy susceptibility to colds and coughs, restoring her to a vital and healthy child. The journey took a few months, and she has not needed any inhalers since. This was it for me: although I could not understand how Homeopathy worked, it did, and I was sold.
It was then that I began reading around remedies, starting with those my daughter was prescribed, wanting to find out what else each of them could do, and little by little I grew a small collection of homeopathic remedies that I could turn to for little ailments that would regularly develop in my family. How I wished I had known about Homeopathy when my children were babies and had much misery from colics and teething! Homeopathy gradually became my go-to answer for digestive upsets, bruises, bites, growing pains, blocked noses, coughs, nightmares, hormonal issues and more. The more I used it, the more Homeopathy amazed me, the more I wanted to know. So, I took the plunge and enrolled in the Licentiate course offered by the Centre for Homeopathic Education in London.

My practice runs almost completely online, and I see a variety of patients of different ages and with different complaints. I particularly enjoy working with children and babies, because they react so well to the remedies and make good and steady progress. I also see teens for both physical and emotional issues, and I enjoy working with older patients who come with a wide variety of ailments. There is always something new to learn! Unlike conventional medicine, Homeopathy does not use chemical substances, bypassing any side effects/dependencies that medication can cause. I am looking forward to continuing to share its magic and see its profound healing at work!
